While creating a song, some parts / steps are easy others are hard. For me creating an intro and the first musical idea is easy. I never run out of inspiration, have a huge lib of ideas and cool sounds and samples up to my eyebrows.
Hard – and I mean HARD – is bringing the song beyond the magic 1 minute threshold. Therefor I watched with great interest the following video series by QuantizeCourse. Very interessting and worth you time. Check them out.
What I like a lot is the constant reminder to keep it simple and coarse to create the song first. Fiddling and living in details (and we’re all prone to that, arent’t we?) comes later but not now. I said “NOT NOW!” 🙂
